Sam is a projects lawyer who works predominantly in the energy industry. He acts for project developers, network companies and construction contractors, and is sought after not only for his legal skills, but also his industry knowledge, project experience and commerciality.
Since completing a period of employment with ElectraNet between 2017 and 2019 (during which he oversaw a large number of new utility scale grid connections) Sam has continuously been involved in renewable energy project development. He slots into the project team of his clients seamlessly and has the experience, grit and determination required to add real value in what are often tough circumstances.
Sam is also an accomplished general commercial lawyer, with expertise in banking and finance, personal property securities, privacy, procurement/supply contracting, corporate governance and real estate/land access. In addition to his energy project work, Sam acts as a trusted advisor to a number of long standing corporate clients operating outside of the energy industry.

Orora: Advising Orora in relation to the upgrade of Roseworthy substation upgrade to facilitate greater demand capacity.
SA Water: Advising on hybrid (load, generation and BESS) connection agreement involving 11 transmission network connection points for the Zero Cost Energy Future project.
