About

Name

The firm is named in honour of one High Court judge (Sir Owen Dixon) and one South Australian Supreme Court judge (Len King). Each of Dixon & King consistently broke through high levels of complexity to deliver well considered, plain English judgments, which were logical and easy to read. This is how we strive to deliver legal services to our clients.

Ethos

Our clients work in a more demanding and distracting environment every day. Our ethos is that we consistently deliver user-friendly, commercially driven legal services of the highest quality. Our role is to act as an enabler and facilitate positive, commercial outcomes for all parties involved.

Why boutique?

We are small, but effective and we have the track record to prove it. Our team has been involved in extensive energy projects, M&A deals and complicated foreign investment transactions in recent years. We add value by de-leveraging and giving our clients direct access to senior lawyers who understand their industry at all times.

Collaboration

Within our firm, we adopt a purely collaborative working model which allows us to ensure our clients receive specialist advice, without being over serviced. We also collaborate with our clients and their other advisors of all disciplines to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved.

Values

A firm is only as good as its values. Our core values are respect, equality, excellence and sustainability. We are committed to living and breathing these values, as we believe they will help create a better experience for our clients, a better workplace for our people and a better world for our children.

Technology

We aim to give you the best of a traditional law firm in a different package. We use technology to our advantage wherever possible in order to reduce overheads and remain agile. This ensures that our clients receive the legal services they really need, in an efficient and cost effective manner.

At Dixon&King, we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia. We pay respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and to Elders, past and present.
