Jason is a commercial lawyer with market leading expertise in the wine and agribusiness sectors. With over 11 years’ experience as in-house counsel (including 5 years as Head of Legal) for global wine, liquor and FMCG companies, Jason understands the industry, market and regulatory challenges faced by his clients, and is uniquely positioned to provide industry-specific legal advice with a strong commercial focus.   

Jason regularly acts for clients operating across wine and liquor, dairy and grains.  With extensive experience throughout the supply chain, his practice incudes advising on vineyard, winery & brand transactions, commercial leasing, grape and bulk wine supply arrangements, contract processing, IP and brand protection, label compliance, domestic and international distribution, procurement, liquor and export licensing, water rights, and warehousing and logistics.

In addition to the wine, agribusiness and FMCG sectors, Jason is recognised as a trusted advisor to clients across a number of industries, including hospitality, real estate, construction, government, research & development, technology, entertainment and transportation. He works with clients ranging from family businesses and start-ups all the way through to large corporates, listed entities, industry associations, research institutions, commonwealth entities and government agencies.
